About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Workday Compensation Analyst to join the Total Rewards Compensation team within Human Resources (HR) Product Management. This is an exciting opportunity to support the evolution of the compensation product as we strive to deliver thoughtful and effective solutions for managers across the globe. Reporting to the Product Management Senior Manager of Compensation, this role will play a valuable role within the Compensation Product team. As part of the Agile team, the Senior Workday Compensation Analyst will collaborate with other members of the product team and cross-product members in the delivery of streamlined and effective solutions to compensation programs across the enterprise. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with technology and business groups to build and/or re-engineer Compensation technical and business processes and Workday business processes for greater efficiencies with significant impact to the business. You will work closely with business partners to produce effective documentation that captures and communicates business processes and requirements in various formats, including business process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, data definition documents, requirements documents, and user experience flows. Additionally, you will support configuration and testing activities aligned to roadmap priorities and/or issue mitigation, write effective user stories with clear descriptions and user acceptance criteria, and execute testing user stories during product sprints. The role requires maintaining task status in JIRA or a similar Agile management tool, ensuring that all activities are tracked and reported accurately. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based in one of several specified locations, with a travel expectation of up to 5% of the time. Candidates must be based in one of the specified locations or be willing to relocate at their own expense, as relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with technology and business groups to build and/or re-engineer Compensation technical and business processes and Workday business processes for greater efficiencies.
  • Work closely with business partners to produce effective documentation capturing business processes and requirements.
  • Support configuration and testing activities aligned to roadmap priorities and/or issue mitigation.
  • Write effective user stories with clear descriptions and user acceptance criteria.
  • Write effective and clear test scripts and testing criteria in support of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Execute testing user stories during product sprints, including setting up scenarios, loading sample data, and capturing detailed results of each test.
  • Maintain task status in JIRA or similar Agile management tool.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 2+ years of experience with Workday or other Human Resources applications supporting Compensation.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience designing and managing large complex global programs, new processes, programs, and services.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar tool to support HCM projects.
