About the position

The Senior Worldwide Specialist - GenAI at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a pivotal role within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), focusing on driving revenue and growth through strategic go-to-market (GTM) initiatives. This position requires a blend of business acumen, technical expertise in Generative AI, and strong sales skills to position AWS as the preferred cloud provider. The role involves leading global GTM plans, collaborating with various teams, and representing AWS at industry events, all while ensuring customer needs are at the forefront of product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain, thinking through challenges on a 1-3+ year time scale.
  • Leverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.
  • Support field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
  • Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
  • Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant Go-to-market, Technical Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence or SaaS experience.
  • BA/BS degree required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills with experience communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (eg CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
