About the position

As a Senior Writer for Referral Content within the Communications & Branding Department at Select Medical, you will play a pivotal role in developing referral content for all Outpatient Rehabilitation Division programs and services. This position is essential in creating marketing materials that effectively communicate the value of our extensive network of physical therapy centers across the United States. Your primary objective will be to enhance awareness among physicians, thereby driving patient access to our services. You will collaborate closely with clinical program and education teams to ensure that the content you produce is not only relevant but also accurate and impactful. In this role, you will be responsible for writing and updating referral collateral, ensuring that all materials maintain a consistent tone and messaging that aligns with our brand standards. You will regularly analyze the effectiveness of the referral content, applying research and insights to develop compelling messaging that resonates with our target audience. Additionally, you will field requests from the sales team to create or refine referral content as needed, ensuring that our materials meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders. Your work will also involve creating targeted infographics that highlight program and service outcomes, further showcasing the benefits of our offerings. You will partner with your colleagues in the Communications & Branding team to oversee the review, production, and distribution of referral content, ensuring that all materials adhere to company and departmental brand governance standards. This position reports to the C&B director of outpatient content strategy and offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities

  • Writes and updates referral collateral for all programs and services.
  • Partners with clinical programs and education team to ensure referral content relevancy and accuracy.
  • Ensures consistent tone across all referral content, regularly analyzes for messaging impact.
  • Applies research and outcomes insights to develop compelling referral messaging.
  • Fields requests from sales team to create new, or refine existing, referral content as needed.
  • Monitors effectiveness of referral collateral throughout lifecycle, i.e. content audits.
  • Creates copy for referral source-targeted infographics that showcase program/service outcomes and benefits.
  • Partners with C&B teammates on all aspects of referral content review, production and distribution.
  • Adheres to company/department brand governance standards.
  • Performs other duties or special projects, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of writing experience.
  • Exceptional writer with proven expertise in developing highly-compelling health care content.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Expert at multi-tasking; high degree of agility to simultaneously manage multiple, large projects.
  • Proven track record in content creation and management across multiple brands and programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Results-driven mindset.
  • Highly collaborative team player.
  • Command of AP Style.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
