About the position

The Senior Worldwide Solutions Architect for EC2 Performance at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a key role focused on providing expert-level technical guidance to customers utilizing AWS Neuron hardware, Trainium, and Inferentia. This position involves crafting scalable and resilient architectures, developing technical documentation, and driving the adoption of AWS EC2 neuron-based instances. The role requires collaboration with engineering and business development teams to address complex customer challenges and enhance the overall customer experience with AWS services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for customers building on AWS Neuron hardware, Trainium, and Inferentia.
  • Develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to educate customers and partners on EC2 value.
  • Drive enablement initiatives to enhance the technical capabilities of field teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business development teams to promote AWS EC2 neuron-based instances globally.
  • Advocate for customer needs with service teams to ensure the development of optimal products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting performance metrics and logs.
  • 3+ years of experience in data processing and cleaning, including handling large datasets and transforming raw data for LLMs.
  • 3+ years of experience with LLMs, including training and prompt engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership within a customer or partner organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with common enterprise services and software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking with executives and IT management.
  • Ability to evaluate metrics for accuracy, fluency, coherence, and task-specific evaluations.
  • Proficiency in writing and debugging applications developed in Python, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Technical leadership skills to understand customer IT landscapes and influence AWS platform adoption.
  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
  • Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
