About the position
The Business Development Specialist role within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) at AWS focuses on driving revenue and adoption of AWS services, particularly in relation to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and RISE. This position involves leading the global go-to-market (GTM) strategy, collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experiences, and influencing product development based on customer feedback. The role requires a strong understanding of SAP solutions and AWS services to effectively position AWS as the preferred cloud provider for customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain.
- Leverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.
- Support field teams in solution building for high priority customers.
- Bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
- Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience.
- 10+ years working with customers in helping them with technology decisions, preferably in cloud, hosted and managed services in technology industry.
- 6+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience.
- Expert-level knowledge in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and RISE with SAP.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with AWS services and how they can be used to modernize SAP.
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
