About the position

The Sensing Research/UX Engineer will focus on the design, development, and integration of sensing systems, with an emphasis on embedded machine learning and UX prototyping for 3D systems. This role requires a strong understanding of signal processing and experience in creating interactive systems, particularly in augmented and virtual reality environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop sensing systems for various applications.
  • Integrate embedded machine learning models on resource-constrained devices.
  • Implement and optimize sensor signal processing algorithms.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing for 3D systems.
  • Prototype UX designs for AR/VR and other interactive systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in sensing systems, embedded machine learning, or UX prototyping for 3D systems.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental and advanced signal processing concepts.
  • Experience with ML prototyping and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Prior experience in prototyping for AR/VR or other 3D interactive systems, including proficiency in Unity.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience in sensing systems, embedded machine learning, or UX prototyping for 3D systems.
  • Master's or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • A track record of independently prototyping and developing sensing systems such as medical devices or wearables.
  • Familiarity with Android application development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience with hardware prototyping, including embedded systems development and analog front-end design.
