About the position

Meta Wearables/AR team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. Our team has the responsibility for taking breakthrough concepts and delivering them to market at scale. The Sensing Hardware Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and integrating sensing solutions in future Meta products. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technologies and deliver best-in-class sensor solutions in battery-operated products. The engineer will work closely with internal research teams to bring groundbreaking sensing technologies from concept to production, leveraging strong analog, circuit design, and optoelectronics fundamentals to build, debug, and validate prototypes. The role involves applying electrical engineering fundamentals to convert reference designs into custom product solutions, designing schematics, supervising board/FPC layouts, and actively participating in design reviews to support sensor integration into products. The engineer will optimize sensor architecture, component selection, and sensing system design while working closely with CM/JDM resources to leverage their engineers and maximize the focus of internal resources on adding value to and differentiating our product. Additionally, the engineer will perform lab measurements and factory tests as needed to validate the design and resolve any issues, driving the resolution of technical issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Quality, and Reliability, as well as various CM/JDM teams.
