As a Sensing Hardware Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team responsible for developing and shipping products that integrate hardware, software, and content. Your role will involve taking groundbreaking concepts and transforming them into market-ready solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technology and deliver top-tier sensor solutions for battery-operated products. This position requires collaboration with internal research teams to bring cutting-edge sensing technologies from concept to production. You will leverage your expertise in analog circuit design and optoelectronics to build, debug, and validate prototypes. Your responsibilities will include applying electrical engineering principles to convert reference designs into custom product solutions, designing schematics, supervising board and flexible printed circuit (FPC) layouts, and actively participating in design reviews to ensure successful sensor integration into products. Additionally, you will optimize sensor architecture, select appropriate sensor components, and design sensing systems. Working closely with contract manufacturers (CM) and joint development manufacturers (JDM), you will maximize the efficiency of internal resources while adding value to our products. Your role will also involve performing lab measurements and factory tests to validate designs and troubleshoot any issues that arise. You will drive the resolution of technical challenges by collaborating with various teams, including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Quality, and Reliability, as well as CM and JDM teams. This position is crucial for the successful development of future Meta products that rely on advanced sensing technologies.
