About the position

Bowhead is seeking to network with individuals for a newly awarded contract to provide engineering and technical support services to the NSWCDD at various facilities. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities in sensor work areas, including requirements development, systems engineering, analysis, modeling, hardware design, signal processing, sensor operation, test and evaluation, sensor certification, and sensor requirement verification.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support services to NSWCDD.
• Engage in requirements development for sensor systems.
• Conduct systems engineering and analysis for sensor operations.
• Perform modeling and hardware design for sensor systems.
• Execute signal processing and sensor operation tasks.
• Oversee test and evaluation processes for sensor systems.
• Ensure sensor certification and requirement verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics from an ABET-accredited program.
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in the aforementioned fields is also acceptable.
• Experience with AN/SPY-1 or AN/SPY-6 AEGIS systems is required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees and external contacts.
• Good interpersonal skills and judgment, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
