About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead a team in developing new capabilities for the Sentinel ICBM weapon system at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This role involves providing engineering support to a significant Government acquisition program focused on designing, developing, producing, and deploying advanced payload systems. The position emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with government leaders, and the application of digital engineering and agile software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers.
• Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.
• Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
• Provide guidance and leadership to more junior engineering team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience or master's degree in engineering or related field with 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• 6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership on a Guidance and Navigation program.
• Experience as an electrical engineer on a missile system or other complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience).
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
