About the position

The position involves supporting the Sentinel Program's Command & Launch (C&L) Branch in acquiring command and control capabilities for the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). The role focuses on various aspects of the weapon system, including command pathways, nuclear codes, and physical security systems, while collaborating with U.S. Air Force stakeholders and managing integration of government-furnished equipment into the Sentinel design.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sentinel Program's Command & Launch Branch in acquiring weapon system command & control capabilities.
  • Manage ICBM nuclear codes and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of critical commands.
  • Oversee ICBM targeting and processing of strategic missile aim points.
  • Coordinate nuclear command, control & communications (NC3) systems for receiving Presidential nuclear orders.
  • Manage ICBM command pathways for voice & data command transmission and reception.
  • Support airborne launch control capabilities aboard US Navy E-6B aircraft.
  • Oversee actuation & mechanical systems related to missile operations.
  • Manage power distribution & endurance systems at launch facilities.
  • Implement physical security systems at launch facilities.
  • Review and evaluate Sentinel ICBM prime contractor's designs and documentation related to command & control subsystems.

Requirements

  • Must have a current SECRET security clearance or higher and be able to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • 10 years of experience in direct program/project management (8 years with an MS degree).
  • Experience with Minuteman III ICBM weapon system as a Missile Operator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management, Cost Accounts, and schedule management concepts.
