About the position

The SEO Account Manager at Firestarter SEO is a pivotal role responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of SEO campaigns. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, client communication, and performance analysis to drive account growth and deliver measurable results for clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with SEO specialists and content creators to provide tailored solutions that align with client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Understand client goals, industry, and target audiences to provide personalized SEO solutions.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and meetings to review performance, provide updates, and present reports.
  • Manage client expectations, deadlines, and deliverables with the SEO operations team.
  • Collaborate with SEO strategists to develop and implement tailored SEO strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance SEO performance through analytics and emerging trends.
  • Track and analyze the performance of SEO campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reports showcasing key metrics, ROI, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to clients in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth by offering additional services such as PPC, supplemental link building, etc.
  • Proactively suggest optimizations or new approaches to improve client performance.
  • Support in contract renewals and upsells.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as an Account Manager, Client Success Manager, or similar role in an SEO or digital marketing agency.
  • Understanding of SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building, and technical SEO.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate SEO jargon into client-friendly language.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to client challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or SEO-related platforms (desirable).
