This position is not remote, and applicants should be prepared to work in our St. Louis office. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing websites, e-commerce stores, and digital content to improve search visibility and drive traffic. You will conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content creation and optimization, write and edit search-friendly marketing copy, and provide strategic recommendations for effective search and content strategies. Collaboration with development and design teams is essential to ensure that SEO best practices are implemented effectively across all digital platforms. Additionally, you will analyze data to report on the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven decisions to enhance performance. Responsibilities

  • Optimize websites, ecommerce stores, and digital content for organic and paid search results
  • Perform keyword research
  • Write and edit search-friendly marketing copy
  • Provide recommendations for effective search and content strategies
  • Research and recommend effective linking strategies
  • Work with development and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on websites and ecommerce stores
  • Analyze data and report on results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in marketing or communications preferred
  • 1-3 years' work experience in search engine optimization and copywriting
  • Proficiency with Google Search and Advertising platforms, Google Analytics, Google Docs, keyword research, spreadsheets (MS Excel or Google Sheets), and similar tools of the SEO/content trade
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Deep understanding of marketing metrics and data analysis
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Insane attention to detail
