About the position

Legacy Healing Center is seeking a full-time Content SEO Specialist to enhance its online presence and drive organic traffic to its addiction treatment center's website. This role focuses on creating, optimizing, and managing keyword-targeted content that resonates with individuals seeking addiction treatment, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will blend SEO expertise with compassionate storytelling to engage and educate potential patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-intent and geographically targeted terms related to addiction treatment and recovery.
• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar that includes blogs, landing pages, FAQs, and guides.
• Write and edit blog posts, landing pages, and service descriptions that are engaging, informative, and optimized for search engines.
• Ensure all content adheres to healthcare and addiction treatment compliance standards, including HIPAA and FTC guidelines.
• Develop empathetic and educational content to address common questions about addiction and treatment options.
• Optimize existing website content to improve rankings, user experience, and conversion rates.
• Craft compelling metadata, headlines, and calls to action that drive traffic and engagement.
• Conduct A/B testing to determine what drives better conversions.
• Perform content gap analysis to identify opportunities for new pages or blog posts.
• Use on-page and off-page SEO techniques to enhance website visibility.
• Work closely with the Editor to ensure all content meets quality, compliance, and brand standards.
• Partner with the Creative Designer to create visually engaging content.
• Collaborate with the Technical SEO Specialist to ensure content structure aligns with site architecture.
• Coordinate with the Local SEO Specialist to create geographically relevant content.
• Collaborate with the SEO Analyst to track performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Monitor addiction treatment industry trends and competitor content.
• Regularly audit content to ensure it reflects the latest research and treatment methodologies.
• Use analytics tools to measure content performance, such as traffic and conversions.
• Monitor and report on keyword rankings for priority terms.
• Ensure all content complies with healthcare and addiction treatment regulations.
• Fact-check all information against reputable sources.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in SEO-focused content creation, ideally in the healthcare or addiction treatment industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating content created for high-ranking pages in competitive industries.
• Proficiency in keyword research and on-page SEO optimization.
• Experience using tools like SEMrush, Surfer SEO, and Grammarly.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an emphasis on clarity, empathy, and search intent.
• Familiarity with WordPress, CMS systems, and content optimization plugins.
• Strong research skills to accurately convey sensitive healthcare information.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for a general audience.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
