About the position

The SEO Content Specialist at CVS Health is responsible for enhancing online visibility, driving organic traffic, and improving search engine rankings through the creation of high-quality content. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with marketing objectives and adheres to SEO best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of audience research and SEO strategies, and will be expected to work in the Woonsocket, RI office three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify target terms that align with user search behavior and optimize content accordingly.
  • Create compelling meta titles and descriptions that adhere to SEO guidelines, engage users, and encourage click-throughs.
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices, such as keyword placement, internal linking, and proper use of header tags.
  • Regularly review and optimize existing content to improve search engine rankings and enhance user experience.
  • Work closely with the EO team to ensure all content follows SEO best practices and contributes to overall SEO goals.
  • Ensure all verbal and visual content aligns with the brand's style guide to maintain a cohesive brand identity across all platforms.
  • Write and structure copy that moves digital users toward accomplishing goals in an intuitive way, both short and long form copy.
  • Use data to help inform and shape content creation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising/Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Health care experience.
  • Ability to write short and long form copy.
  • Proficient understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Passion for SEO and digital marketing.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Google Products such as Analytics, Search Console, Looker Studio, Tag Manager, and Google Business Profile.
  • Proficiency in using keyword research tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush, seoClarity, or other tools.
  • Understanding of organic link building.
  • Experience working in creative marketing agencies or marketing organizations.
  • Experience with MRM tools (i.e. Workfront).
