About the position

The SEO Content Writer at GotPrint.com will be an integral part of the creative team, responsible for producing a variety of SEO-driven content for the company's e-commerce platforms. This role involves writing engaging content for blogs, emails, ads, and product descriptions, while also analyzing performance metrics to optimize future content strategies. The position requires a strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing, along with the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive messaging across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage website content, product content, promo bar copy, and the blog calendar.
  • Write engaging & SEO driven content for the company's blog, emails, Ads, landing pages, promo bar copy, white-papers and more.
  • Maintain a weekly metric report on traffic statistics and content performance per platform for new and past blogs, SEO pages.
  • Analyze data to present next steps based on content performance.
  • Write a minimum of 8 articles/blogs a month with an average of 2000 words each.
  • Research, write/edit and create layouts for new content/articles.
  • Proofread content on the website, make improvements, and come up with new ideas for pages.
  • Conduct keyword research per topic and measure search performance for each blog, web page, product, and SEM for ads.
  • Analyze current keywords used in ads to provide terms to audit, test, and implement.
  • Create topics and new ideas for the blog to stay on top of search trends.
  • Develop an SEO & SEM strategy to implement on the site with a clear path to achieve those goals.
  • Outreach for link opportunities, guest posting, and managing freelance writers if needed.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure cohesiveness between the blog and corporate website.
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to provide outlines for blog designs needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required in English, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in creating/writing content for websites, digital marketing, and other digital media (writing samples must be provided).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to interface/communicate with all levels as well as external vendors.
  • Excellent teamwork and people skills.
  • Energy for a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, WordPress Blogging Platform, SEO experience of 2+ years, SEM, Basic HTML and CSS mark-up.
