About the position

The SEO/Digital Marketing Specialist at The Whaler's Inn is responsible for managing social media accounts, maintaining marketing materials, and developing and executing SEO strategies to enhance the hotel's online presence. This role involves collaboration with the Creative Director and the sales team to drive marketing initiatives and increase bookings, particularly during the off-season.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the strategic development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Develop email campaigns and blog posts along with all printed/branded collateral under the direction of the Creative Director.
• Manage all search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.
• Maintain and update the company website and third-party listings for maximum exposure.
• Utilize Google and Google Analytics to improve website ranking and business reach.
• Leverage cross-platform targeted marketing strategies.
• Ensure return on investment for all complementary rooms, meals, and services provided.
• Track all complementary rooms, meals, services, expenses, and budgetary items.
• Work closely with the sales team to drive off-season bookings and revenue.
• Expand the reach of the Inn and diversify clientele.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong knowledge of SEO strategies and techniques.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics and Excel.
• Strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, flexible, and self-motivated.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in digital marketing or related fields for 2 years.
