About the position

The SEO Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of SEO campaigns for clients within a digital marketing agency specializing in the beauty, health, and wellness industry. This role focuses on driving organic growth, enhancing online visibility, and increasing search engine rankings through collaboration with internal teams and clients. The SEO Manager will ensure the agency meets its SEO objectives by delivering high-quality results and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Audit client sites to create and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to clients' needs.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities for content creation and optimization.
  • Craft highly effective copy for website content and ad copy to support SEM strategies.
  • Optimize website elements such as title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and URLs.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, including site speed optimization and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content and provide guidelines for on-page optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush, providing regular performance reports to clients.
  • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with other digital marketing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client campaigns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, proactively communicating updates and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an SEO Manager, SEO Specialist, or similar role.
  • Experience working within a digital marketing agency setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and how they impact SEO.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively explain SEO concepts to educate clients with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Experience in pitching SEO to potential clients and communicating the value of SEO services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Experience with local SEO, eCommerce SEO, and technical SEO.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with PPC advertising and social media marketing.
  • Knowledge of web design and UX principles, especially for conversion rate optimization.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics or SEO-related courses are a bonus.
  • A passion for beauty, as most clients are within the beauty & wellness industry.
