About the position

The SEO Manager at Purple Innovation LLC is responsible for developing and executing the company's organic search engine optimization strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine mechanics and the ability to collaborate with various teams to enhance website performance and increase organic traffic. The SEO Manager will lead initiatives to improve site structure, content, and overall SEO effectiveness, ensuring alignment with company goals and branding.

Responsibilities

• Develop research, strategize, plan, and implement Purple's SEO strategy in partnership with site owners, developers, and commerce leads.
• Connect SEO outcomes to company goals and measure their impact on the business.
• Develop and execute SEO recommendations ensuring consistency with branding, positioning, voice, and messaging.
• Enhance user experience across multiple platforms by considering the full user journey and touch points.
• Stay updated on SEO trends, current events, and best practices with an 'always-on' mentality.
• Track and report on campaign results with actionable steps to keep SEO efforts on plan.
• Brainstorm new, creative approaches to SEO solutions to support various teams including creative, PR, and commerce.
• Conduct content gap analyses, competitive analysis, and keyword research.
• Report on strategies and outcomes on a weekly and monthly basis to leadership teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working in an active SEO role.
• Experience working across marketing functions, media agencies, and internal teams.
• Strong knowledge of Google and Bing algorithm updates.
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Outstanding project management skills and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
