About the position

Justworks is seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead the SEO & Content Team. This role focuses on optimizing on-page content, technical SEO, and off-page strategies to enhance organic traffic and conversions. The SEO Manager will collaborate with various teams to implement best practices and innovate strategies to achieve SEO goals for Justworks.com.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy leveraging on-page and off-page best practices.
  • Grow the number of keywords ranking in the top 10 positions of SERPs.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify high-value keywords.
  • Identify opportunities to grow Video SEO (VSEO) and optimize video assets.
  • Collaborate with the content team to implement SEO-friendly content targeting high-priority keywords.
  • Perform content decay and cannibalization analysis to support content efforts.
  • Propose data-driven recommendations for SEO tests and optimizations.
  • Ensure the website operates with SEO best practices, including responsive design and fast load times.
  • Monitor technical SEO performance and resolve issues impacting search rankings.
  • Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Implement strategies to grow SEO visibility through AI tools and report performance.
  • Analyze and report on website traffic and search engine rankings using various tools.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure an integrated strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO with a strong understanding of content optimization and technical SEO.
  • Proven track record of improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic.
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and SEOTesting.
  • Experience in managing search volume analysis, content decay analysis, and keyword competition analysis.
  • Technical background to support quality assurance of new page builds, checking meta tags, schema, and canonicals.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Contentful CMS.
