About the position

We are seeking a skilled SEO Manager to join our team at COLAB LAX in Woodland Hills, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic to our client websites. This role requires a proactive approach to lead and direct client SEO campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and performance targets. The SEO Manager will have ownership and strategic direction over client SEO campaigns, supported by the SEO team. In this position, you will assist the Head of Marketing on additional accounts, providing background support to learn and develop stronger SEO leadership skills. You will drive and lead ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, which include conducting SEO audits to identify technical issues, performing keyword research and mapping, developing metadata, and making on-page and website development revisions based on performance targets and client objectives. Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools will be essential to your success. You will also assist account managers with client communications regarding organic search knowledge and recommendations, helping to develop and deliver a clear strategic vision to each client. Collaboration with the Content team and other subject matter experts will be necessary to provide best-in-class strategies for SEO-driven content deliverables, including comprehensive guides, shareable assets, core pages, and blogs (both new and refreshed). Additionally, you will contribute to the development of departmental processes and deliverables, further refining your ability to tell stories through data and reporting. This role requires a commitment to personal growth and the ability to work on complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of various factors. You will exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct client SEO campaigns with support from the SEO team.
  • Ensure alignment with client objectives and performance targets.
  • Ownership and strategic direction over client SEO campaigns with support from the team.
  • Assist Head of Marketing on additional accounts as background support to learn and develop stronger SEO leadership skills.
  • Drive and lead ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, including SEO audits to identify technical issues, keyword research and mapping, metadata development, and on-page and website development revisions based on performance targets and client objectives.
  • Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools.
  • Assist account managers with client communications around organic search knowledge and recommendations to develop and deliver a clear strategic vision to each client.
  • Collaborate with Content team and other subject matter experts to provide best-in-class strategies for SEO-driven content deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental processes and deliverables.
  • Develop and refine ability to story tell through data and reporting.
  • Further develop confidence and expert delivery in terms of interfacing with clients and with other departments.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in the organic search industry, managing SEO strategy for clients.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Google Data Studio, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Agency Analytics, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful SEO campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong client and team leadership qualities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agency experience is a plus.
