About the position

The SEO Manager at Hulu will lead the SEO strategy and roadmap to enhance organic traffic growth for Hulu's landing pages. This role is pivotal in collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to define the SEO vision, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement in alignment with Hulu's evolving content and features. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned SEO strategist with strong technical and communication skills, capable of making data-driven decisions while balancing SEO needs with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own Hulu's SEO strategy and roadmap to maximize organic traffic growth for hulu.com landing pages.
  • Define and socialize the team's set of SEO best practices across business and technology teams.
  • Build and implement a prioritized roadmap for technical SEO enhancements.
  • Increase quality organic traffic to the main site and editorial blog to drive awareness and new user acquisition.
  • Train developers and marketing partners on SEO best practices and operating principles.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to enhance visibility of Hulu content in search rankings.
  • Monitor and report on key ranking metrics and performance trends.
  • Track industry trends and updates from search engines to keep Hulu ahead of changes.
  • Manage relationships with external partners for content SEO projects.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of SEO experience within large enterprises.
  • Proven track record of developing and driving SEO strategies for subscription-based businesses.
  • Expertise in keyword research, analysis, and benchmarking against leading video providers.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Search Console and equivalent SEO systems.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and with external partners in an agile environment.
  • Direct experience in planning and prioritizing backlogs and road mapping feature requests.
  • High comfort level in analytics and generating actionable insights from data trends.
  • Must live within a commute distance to Santa Monica, CA.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding of the video streaming service industry and main players.
  • Experience working within or closely with a marketing function.
  • Experience optimizing cross-channel marketing efficiencies (SEM, Display, etc.)
