About the position

Care.com is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager, SEO to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a data-focused Product Manager who has experience developing and shipping products that help drive user acquisition and also create meaningful value for our web users, focused on logged-out visitor experience. Experience in a Marketplace or E-commerce is a plus. You are a product leader who wants to drive user acquisition, activation, and revenue growth for our products. Each day you will lead cross-functional initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights and experimentation to optimize user experiences and drive measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and data analytics to deliver impactful growth initiatives that enhance customer lifetime value. This position is based in either Dallas, TX or Austin, TX, and will be hybrid in office 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the product roadmap that drives the group's charter of growing Care's organic visibility and performance.
  • Deeply understand our consumers (users and Google Bot), their problems, where they find value, and consistently strive to improve our tools and technology to drive growth.
  • Translate SEO opportunities into product initiatives in a structured way, from developing hypotheses to running scrappy experiments to validate your thinking.
  • Own and build a roadmap based on cross-functional objectives and key results that builds momentum, and inspires passion in the engineering team you'll lead in partnership with the Engineering Manager.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives when there are dependencies beyond your team's domain.
  • Develop a deep understanding of all organic metrics in the marketplace so you're always making data-driven decisions that properly balance short-term revenue and long-term value.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful things so you're always learning what's best for our customers.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product experience, including leadership of an engineering team.
  • Experience in SEO, data, and solving problems for customers.
  • Ability to lead teams to build solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with SQL.
  • Ability to make good decisions with incomplete data and optimize for learning.
  • Experience in a Marketplace or E-commerce is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with user acquisition strategies.
  • Knowledge of marketplace dynamics.
