The coordinator will lead the planning and implementation of GEAR UP's summer academy held on the University of Wyoming campus, which is designed to encourage and support aspirations to attend college among low-income students. Additionally, the coordinator will provide advising support to GEAR UP freshmen attending the University of Wyoming, helping them navigate their academic and financial aid options. This role requires regular travel to partner sites throughout Wyoming to maintain close coordination with community college partner site coordinators and to assist them in developing effective student programming strategies. The coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with grant operations, including participant recruitment, service provision, and maintaining audit-ready student data. They will engage in professional development to stay informed about research related to barriers to higher education for socioeconomically disadvantaged students, and represent GEAR UP Wyoming on various committees and at events. This position is vital for fostering a supportive environment for students and ensuring the success of the GEAR UP program in Wyoming.
