About the position

HomePro Marketing is seeking a detail-oriented part-time SEO Specialist to support local contractor clients in enhancing their digital presence. This role involves executing SEO strategies, managing reporting, and ensuring the successful performance of SEO solutions. The position has the potential to grow in hours as the business scales, offering a great opportunity to work closely with the team to drive client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value opportunities for content creation and optimization.
  • Optimize website content, including metadata, headings, and images, to improve visibility on search engines.
  • Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance website authority and ranking.
  • Utilize tools such as Google Tag Manager to track website performance and user behavior.
  • Monitor search engine algorithms and trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze website analytics using Google Analytics and other tools to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts.
  • Assist with client onboarding and initial setup for GBP PowerRank and Web PowerRank services.
  • Manage SEO campaigns including publishing weekly AI-powered GBP updates, posting optimized Q&A content, and ordering backlinks.
  • Set up and maintain monthly trend reporting and SEO analytics for clients through our online portal.
  • Create and publish blogs following SEO best practices, including writing long-form and short-form keyword-optimized content as part of our content calendar.
  • Conduct website and GBP analysis for keyword ranking improvements and SEO health checks.
  • Order and manage backlinks through vendors, ensuring quality and relevance for client campaigns.
  • Occasionally serve as a subject matter expert (SME) during client meetings alongside the account manager.
  • Ensure consistent reporting and performance tracking for an existing client base of 20.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of search engines and their algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Geo-mapping reporting tools and monitoring target keywords for GBP.
  • Familiarity with blog/article ideation, copywriting (using AI), copyediting and publishing.
  • Proficiency in using SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs) for keyword research, tracking rankings, and analyzing performance metrics. Familiarity with AgencyAnalytics.com reporting software a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems for implementing SEO changes.
  • Knowledge of conversion optimization techniques to enhance user engagement and drive sales.
  • Experience procuring backlinks through major link building partners (order management).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, process-driven, and able to track all client work via CRM and tracking tools already in place.

  • Experience in digital marketing beyond SEO.
