About the position

The SEO Specialist role is a part-time, freelance position focused on providing SEO reporting and tracking support for tech startup clients. The specialist will lead efforts in SEO metrics, reporting, and conversion tracking, particularly utilizing Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The role aims to help clients understand the impact of their SEO strategies and provide actionable insights to improve their online performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain SEO tracking and reporting tools, including GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Google Tag Manager.
• Install tracking data and codes on websites, collaborating with in-house developers as needed.
• Develop and deliver clear, actionable reports that illustrate SEO performance, conversions, and overall impact.
• Identify and implement improvements in tracking and reporting processes to better serve client needs.
• Communicate SEO performance insights to clients in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain SEO strategies using platforms like WordPress and Contentful CMS.

Requirements

• Expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
• Proficiency in Conversion Funnel Reporting, including building and analyzing conversion funnels and user journeys in GA4.
• Strong skills in setting up custom events and UTM parameters for granular traffic source tracking.
• In-depth understanding of organic search, SEO best practices, and performance tracking related to SEO efforts.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and building actionable reports in Looker Studio.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, WordPress, and Contentful CMS.
• Strong SEO reporting skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for clients.
• Consultative, proactive approach to client relationships, particularly with tech startups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and strategies to clients.
• Ability to manage SEO projects independently, delivering high-quality work on time.
