About the position

Burning Stick Creative is looking for a motivated SEO Specialist to enhance organic traffic for clients' websites. The role involves developing and implementing SEO strategies, conducting keyword research, optimizing on-page elements, and performing technical audits to improve search rankings. The ideal candidate will collaborate with content creators and monitor website performance metrics to ensure effective SEO practices are in place.

Responsibilities

• Develop & implement effective SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings.
• Conduct keyword research & analysis to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Optimize on-page elements, including meta tags, headings, images, & content for SEO best practices.
• Perform technical SEO audits & provide actionable recommendations to enhance website performance.
• Monitor & update various directory listings like Yelp, Google My Business, & more.
• Monitor & analyze website performance metrics, using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, & Ahrefs.
• Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, & industry developments.
• Collaborate with content creators to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly content.
• Generate reports to track & measure SEO performance & ROI for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in SEO, preferably in an agency setting.
• Strong understanding of SEO tools & analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Proven track record of improving organic search rankings & driving traffic.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, & website content management systems (CMS).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, & communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
