About the position

McCune Law Group is seeking an SEO Specialist to enhance our organic marketing efforts across multiple websites, including McCuneWright.com, ProSeLegal.com, and FollowOurCourts.com. The primary focus of this role is to improve our rankings in organic search queries through a variety of strategies and techniques. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for performing audits, conducting analyses, and implementing page improvements to optimize our presence on search engines like Google. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the Director of Digital Marketing, Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, and the marketing team to ensure that both new and existing site pages are optimized effectively. In this role, you will be tasked with developing comprehensive SEO strategies and roadmaps aimed at improving search engine rankings and visibility. You will conduct in-depth technical audits to identify and resolve issues related to search engine optimization across our websites. Additionally, you will perform keyword research to identify target keywords and optimize content accordingly. Monitoring site performance on a weekly basis will be crucial, as you will need to optimize site traffic and improve user experience while identifying any significant fluctuations in ranking. The SEO Specialist will also be responsible for incorporating on-page SEO changes, such as meta tags and image descriptions, to enhance search engine crawlability and ranking factors. Off-page SEO tactics will be utilized to build inbound and outbound links, manage directory listings, and increase overall website authority. Collaboration with the content and web development teams will be essential to ensure that SEO strategies are correctly implemented and maintained. You will also utilize website analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to create reports, conduct audits, and identify areas for optimization, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences. This role is not just about executing tasks; it involves continuous improvement and alignment of SEO efforts with broader marketing and business goals. You will participate in team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for ongoing SEO improvements, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize off-page SEO tactics to build inbound and outbound links, manage directory listings, and increase overall website authority.
  • Collaborate closely with the content team and web development team to ensure SEO strategies are correctly implemented and maintained.
  • Improve page speed and other optimization tactics to enhance user experience and site performance.
  • Utilize website analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other platforms to create reports, conduct audits, and identify areas for optimization.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Build guest post links with target keywords on other websites to improve SEO performance.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align SEO efforts with broader marketing and business goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for ongoing SEO improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of SEO experience, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO.
  • Proven experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google My Business.
  • Familiarity with web development, Google Insights, and mobile/desktop functionality.
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus.
  • Content creation experience, with an understanding of how content impacts SEO.
  • Professional, self-driven, and organized individual with a strong analytical background.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Keen attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and an open-minded approach to new challenges.
