About the position
LendingTree is seeking a talented SEO Staff Writer specializing in personal finance to join our in-house SEO editorial team. In this role, you will be responsible for breaking down complex personal finance topics and helping consumers make informed financial decisions. Your primary focus will be on creating and optimizing content related to small business finance, while also covering a range of personal finance and debt topics. You will conduct SEO analysis, track article performance, create outlines, review financial products, and write new articles as well as refresh existing content. The goal is to produce clear, concise, and engaging content that ranks on the first page of Google search results for frequently asked personal finance and consumer debt questions. As a staff writer, you will work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects and tasks. You will be expected to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and comprehensiveness in your writing. The ideal candidate will have a growth-oriented mindset, be adaptable to change, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. You will also have the opportunity to receive additional training in SEO best practices, ensuring that you are well-equipped to succeed in this role. This position is full-time and based in our Charlotte office, although remote candidates will also be considered. A paid writing test will be required as part of the application process.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a personal finance journalist or content marketing writer.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, including SEO writing and keyword research.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and grammar skills with a strong commitment to accuracy.

- Impeccable communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
