About the position

As a Service Assistant at Red Lobster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, contributing to both the Front of House team and the overall guest experience. Your primary responsibilities will include pre-bussing tables, delivering biscuits, salads, and beverages, providing refills, stocking service stations, and assisting servers in exceeding guest needs. You will also be responsible for greeting guests with friendly conversations, seating them appropriately, checking a wait list, managing a floor chart, and actively participating in guest service. Fulfilling guest requests in a timely manner is essential, as it reflects the Red Lobster hospitality that we pride ourselves on. Responsibilities

  • Pre-bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Delivering biscuits, salads, and beverages to guests.
  • Providing beverage refills as needed.
  • Stocking service stations to ensure they are well-equipped.
  • Assisting servers in meeting and exceeding guest needs.
  • Greeting guests with friendly conversations upon arrival.
  • Seating guests appropriately based on availability.
  • Checking and managing the wait list for seating.
  • Managing a floor chart to optimize seating arrangements.
  • Participating in guest service to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Desire to help during busy periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to remain on your feet for several hours at a time and lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
