About the position

As a Server Assistant / Greeter, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the service team at Hotel Bennett. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive dining experience, and assisting with the timely delivery of food and beverages. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared dishes to designated destinations promptly.
• Relay order information to the appropriate service team member.
• Prep any items assigned by a direct supervisor.
• Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests.
• Ensure that all work areas and stations are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
• Handle reservations for Camellias Afternoon Tea.
• Perform all opening tasks, side and closing duties as well as all daily and weekly duties to the set standards as outlined in the Departmental Training Manual.
• Attend pre-shift lineups, weekly and monthly meetings to stay informed about events, promotions, and other news concerning Hotel Bennett.
• Understand how to operate the equipment used in the outlet and protect all assets in the outlet and in the hotel.
• Assist all guests with inquiries or requests in a pleasant, helpful manner.
• Actively participate in and follow all health and safety policies and procedures set out for Hotel Bennett.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 6 months of related experience in food and beverage.
• Knowledge of food service and applicable health standard requirements as designated by local, state, and federal mandates.
