About the position

Multiple positions are available in Ocala locations for the role of Server at Bob Evans Restaurants LLC. This position is responsible for coordinating the entire station and effectively communicating with both front and back-of-the-house personnel to ensure a delightful dining experience for guests. The server will welcome guests to the restaurant, assist them in navigating the menu using situational selling techniques, and anticipate and respond to their needs promptly, encouraging them to return in the future. The server's duties include taking guest orders while utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques, serving food and beverages promptly, and ensuring that all items are prepared correctly and in a timely manner, adhering to the restaurant's standards. The server will also communicate with guests to ascertain their needs and assist them with menu selections, relay new promotions and product information, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu items by accurately describing food offerings. Maintaining company standards for food quality is essential, as is the accurate input of orders into the computer system. Additionally, the server must practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness at all times. Handling guest complaints effectively is crucial, as the server should aim to turn dissatisfied guests into enthusiastic fans. The role requires strong communication skills to interact with guests, manage crowds, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
