Server/Bartender

About the position

We are seeking a skilled server/bartender to join our team at DZO Korean BBQ in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. This position offers flexible hours with a starting pay of $7.25 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages following standard recipes
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
• Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies as needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of food safety guidelines
• Proficiency in bartending techniques
• Strong hospitality and customer service skills
• Ability to operate a cash register
• Experience in food handling
• Excellent time management skills
• Familiarity with retail math calculations
