About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. As a Server/Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our customers while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with menu selections and inquiries, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system.
• Process payments, handle cash, and provide change while maintaining accuracy in transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, serving stations, and restrooms in accordance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to customers.
• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in restocking supplies as needed and maintain inventory levels for food service items.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills to balance multiple tasks during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and health regulations within a café or restaurant setting.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
