About the position

The Server/Cashier position at Carlos Bakery involves providing excellent service to casino guests by taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and handling cash transactions efficiently. The role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area while adhering to food safety standards and casino policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve Casino guests in a pleasant and efficient manner while maintaining excellent service.
• Prepare all food and beverage items in accordance with prep sheets and standard recipes.
• Display all food and merchandise in accordance with ServSafe and other regulatory standards.
• Maintain inventory and supplies, preparing food based on business volumes and as directed by Supervisors using par levels.
• Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively.
• Adhere to cash-handling practices as per Casino-wide Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
• Count cash, separate charge slips, and prepare bank deposits.
• Ensure payment is made after taking food orders.
• Clean and maintain dining area tables throughout the shift.
• Clean shelves, counters, and windows.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
• Clean food and display equipment.
• Set up and maintain stations and prepare food.
• Ensure display cases and refrigerators are clean and stocked throughout the shift.
• Maintain an organized work area for convenient guest interaction and safety.
• Answer guest questions regarding food venues, beverage service, and Casino-related information.
• Assess each guest and recognize their needs for purchase.
• Properly bag or package purchases for guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
• Six (6) months of work experience required.
• Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
