About the position

At Ted's Montana Grill, the Server plays a crucial role in delivering genuine hospitality and ensuring a remarkable dining experience for our guests. Following our established "Sequence of Service," Servers are responsible for welcoming guests, serving drinks and food promptly, and creating an inviting atmosphere that embodies our commitment to hospitality. Each Server is expected to engage with guests throughout their meal, ensuring they enjoy their dining experience while suggestively selling our fresh, made-from-scratch menu items and daily features. This role requires a professional demeanor, as Servers must maintain composure and calmness at all times, even during busy shifts. Teamwork is essential, and Servers are expected to contribute to a collaborative environment, assisting colleagues as needed to enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and serve drinks and food in a courteous and timely manner.
• Suggestively sell Ted's fresh, made-from-scratch food and describe menu items and daily features.
• Communicate with guests throughout their meal to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Practice alcohol awareness and exercise good judgment when serving alcohol to comply with applicable laws.
• Maintain a professional, composed, and calm demeanor at all times.
• Assist in a team effort to enhance the overall guest experience.

Requirements

• Full service restaurant experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills; ability to be organized in a changing environment.
• Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor at all times.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, squat, and lift while on shift.
• Ability to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per shift.
