About the position

The Server is responsible for providing friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. This role acts as a salesperson and customer service representative for the restaurant, contributing to a positive and encouraging work environment every day.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets guests promptly.
• Acts as the primary provider of hospitality/service to guests.
• Serves food and beverage product in a responsible manner, according to needs of allergy/dietary restrictions and RAMP guidelines.
• Follows standardized steps of service.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and enters into POS system.
• Uses problem solving and critical thinking skills to maximize efficiency.
• Keeps abreast of food and beverage knowledge and trends.
• Increases guests' perceived value with menu knowledge.
• Uses active listening skills to maximize sales.
• Meets sales goals.
• Attends and participates in continuing education sessions.
• Uses provided materials to study food and beverage terms as needed.
• Follows applicable company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Fine dining restaurant experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Knowledge of standard customer service practices, excellent social perceptiveness, and well-developed time management skills.
• Excellent critical thinking, complex problem solving and active learning skills.
• Knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Exceptional grooming habits.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Evidence of full course of vaccination for COVID-19.
