About the position

The Server at First Watch Restaurants, Inc. is responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience that encourages guests to return. This role involves greeting guests as they are seated, maintaining a professional demeanor, and adhering to the restaurant's appearance and dress standards. The Server must possess a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and prices, and be able to explain specials and make recommendations to guests. Taking food orders and effectively communicating with kitchen staff to ensure prompt and accurate food preparation is a key responsibility. The Server is committed to guest satisfaction, anticipating their needs, and demonstrating a service-oriented attitude towards both customers and fellow staff members. In addition to serving, the Server performs various side work duties, assists team members as needed, and helps maintain the cleanliness of the service station during their shift. Responsibilities also include bussing tables, seating guests, taking to-go orders, and rolling silverware as assigned. Accurate reporting of tip income on a daily basis is required, along with performing any other duties as assigned by management. The position also encompasses roles for Cooks and Hosts, each with specific duties. Cooks are responsible for preparing food according to the restaurant's guidelines, ensuring timely delivery of menu items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and performing end-of-day clean-up. Hosts greet guests upon entry and exit, manage the waitlist, and ensure that tables are cleaned and set up efficiently. Bussers support the dining experience by clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and restrooms, and assisting with closing duties. Overall, this position requires a collaborative effort among all staff to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
