About the position

The Server/Network Deployment Engineer role at ManTech involves providing deployment services for computer and storage systems across multiple sites. The engineer will support virtualization environments, manage complex network configurations, and ensure compliance with security standards. This position requires collaboration with various teams to design, implement, and maintain server and network infrastructures, utilizing a range of tools and technologies to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer/storage deployment services at multiple sites.
• Support issues including Veeam and NetBackup to maintain a cross-platform enterprise-level backup and recovery process.
• Follow USCIS standards for joining systems to domains using tools such as MS Management Console and PowerShell.
• Use monitoring tools like New Relic, StealthWatch, and Splunk to identify and resolve issues.
• Work with enterprise operations and the Server Deployment Team to support the virtualization environment from design to implementation.
• Monitor the virtualized platform using SCVMM, Failover Cluster Manager, and vCenter.
• Create templates and automation scripts using Systems Center Virtual Machine Manager and PowerShell.
• Manage all GPOs in the environment using the AGPM tool to maintain security compliance.
• Support the installation of Hyper-V/VMware and operating systems using SCVMM.
• Use SCCM for patching and updating releases, firmware, and BIOS.
• Support the customers' future vision for server/serverless and container services.
• Design, deploy, configure, and administer complex network environments across multiple locations.
• Create and update technical and process documentation.
• Use tools to monitor application stability, security, performance, and capacity.
• Coordinate the deployment and expansion of client server technologies like Flexpod.
• Manage relationships with manufacturers' technical support teams for troubleshooting and design reviews.
• Develop a roadmap to support future strategy and business mission.
• Use Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence to provide transparency and manage work inter-dependencies.
• Work with the network performance team to recommend and execute changes in the environment.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant Server/Network deployment experience.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with major cloud providers.
• Familiarity with tools such as Cisco FlexPod, Microsoft Hyper-V, and VMware ESXi.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• MCSE, ITIL v4 certification preferred.
• Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps, and Agile concepts.
• Experience supporting Government contracts.
