About the position

The Server/Network Deployment Engineer at ManTech is responsible for providing deployment services for computer and storage systems across multiple sites. This role involves supporting virtualization environments, managing complex network configurations, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The engineer will work collaboratively with various teams to troubleshoot issues, create automation scripts, and document processes, all while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and future technology strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer/storage deployment services at multiple sites.
• Support issues including Veeam and NetBackup to maintain a cross-platform enterprise-level backup and recovery process.
• Follow USCIS standards for joining systems to domains using tools such as MS Management Console and PowerShell.
• Use monitoring tools like New Relic, StealthWatch, and Splunk to identify and resolve issues.
• Work with enterprise operations and the Server Deployment Team to support the virtualization environment from design to implementation.
• Monitor the virtualized platform using SCVMM, Failover Cluster Manager, and vCenter.
• Create templates and automation scripts to improve VM deployment efficiency.
• Manage all GPOs in the environment using the AGPM tool.
• Support the installation of Hyper-V/VMware and operating systems using SCVMM.
• Use SCCM for patching and updating releases, firmware, and BIOS.
• Support the customers' future vision for server/serverless and container services.
• Design, deploy, configure, and administer complex network environments across multiple locations.
• Create and update technical and process documentation.
• Coordinate the deployment and expansion of client server technologies like Flexpod.
• Develop a roadmap to support future strategy and business mission.
• Use Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence for project transparency.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant Server/Network deployment experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with tools such as Cisco FlexPod, Microsoft Hyper-V, and VMware.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• MCSE, ITIL v4 certification.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps, and Agile concepts.
• Experience supporting Government contracts.
