About the position

The Restaurant Server plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. This position involves setting up the restaurant, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The server is expected to engage with customers, upsell menu items, and maintain safety and security standards while delivering a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to set up the restaurant/lounge/cafe and keep the area clean and attractive throughout the meal period.
• Perform cleaning duties at the end of the shift, including floors, tables, and buffet areas.
• Engage with guests by pouring water, upselling food and beverages, and making helpful suggestions.
• Provide prompt and excellent service to create a wonderful dining experience for guests.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and timely.
• Follow established safety and security policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of progressive experience in food & beverage required.
• ServSafe or Tips certification is required.
• Ability to work long hours, starting at 3:00 pm or as needed.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body and arms.
• Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Near vision capability to see details at close range.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods without sitting or leaning.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations and multi-task regularly.
