The Server position at Slack's Seafood & Steakhouse is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role involves engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience while promoting a fun atmosphere. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people and are enthusiastic about hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Foster a fun environment for guests and co-workers.
- Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
- Engage in friendly conversations with guests and provide personalized service.
- Greet each guest entering the restaurant and take food and drink orders.
- Communicate with the bartender and assist in the preparation of drinks.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
- Operate a cash register/POS system and maintain financial controls.
- Keep the designated working area clean and organized, and assist in maintaining cleanliness of the dining room.
- Recognize players and relay that information to the host/hostess and other team members.
- Promote current property events and promotions and thank customers as they leave.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
- Ability to count money and change correctly.
- Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
