About the position

We are seeking an experienced server to join our team at Green Knoll Grill. The role involves providing excellent service to guests in a fast-paced dining environment, ensuring a memorable dining experience while collaborating with kitchen staff and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and offering assistance with menu selections.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of service.
• Handle cash transactions using a cash register, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, including basic food service tasks such as sanitizing work areas and bussing tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Provide excellent hospitality by being attentive to guests' needs and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for processing transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper sanitation techniques.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A team player who is willing to help colleagues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
