About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Oku-Niku Japanese BBQ. In this part-time role, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by providing outstanding customer service and ensuring accurate food and beverage orders are taken and delivered in a timely manner. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about All-You-Can-Eat Japanese BBQ.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks to guests efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Assist with bussing tables, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders while adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and service.
• Replenish kitchen inventory to ensure there is adequate levels of supplies needed.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Familiarity with Yelp and Aloha NCR or similar systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Experience with bussing tables and assisting in kitchen operations is advantageous.
• Proficient in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
