About the position

Wandering Vine at the Castle is seeking a professional server to join their front of house team. This role focuses on providing exceptional hospitality and creating a memorable dining experience for guests in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and wine, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team setting.

Responsibilities

• Take three to five server shifts per week.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, making recommendations, taking orders, and entering them into the POS.
• Deliver food and drinks, clean and reset tables, and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Educate customers about various cocktails, spirits, and wines.
• Support other front of house teammates.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of restaurant front of house experience.
• Fine dining experience and wine knowledge preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
• Excellent time management and sales skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members.
• Familiarity with hospitality and food handling regulations.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk up and down stairs, bend and stoop.
• Fluent English oral/written skills required.
