About the position
The Server position at Bermuda Village is primarily responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality and customer service in the dining room and Atrium areas. This role involves executing special events and ensuring proper sanitation and safety standards for all meals served.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service in dining areas.
- Execute special events as required.
- Maintain proper sanitation and safety standards for meals served.
- Set up and break down dining areas in a timely manner.
- Ensure all dining utensils are clean and maintained.
- Stay informed about menu items, including specials and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a presence on the dining room floor to assist customers.
- Proactively solve problems and address customer needs.
- Adhere to the work schedule and communicate any changes in advance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in the back of house (BOH).
- Complete tasks assigned by the manager and maintain checklists.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Understanding of therapeutic diet orders for residents.
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Ability to work responsibly as a team member and individually.
- Honesty, fairness, and dependability.
- Respect for confidentiality and the rights of others.
- Effective communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to meet all health requirements and pass a criminal background check.
