About the position

The Server position at SSP involves providing excellent food and drink experiences to customers in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role includes taking orders, preparing dishes, and ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
• Accurately input orders into the POS system
• Prepare dishes for service, including ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
• Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond to any additional requests
• Clear all dishes away from the table
• Balance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
• Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course

Requirements

• Open availability for shifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Basic math skills for handling payments

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings
