About the position
Fishy Fishy Cafe is a high volume, waterfront restaurant located in downtown Southport, operating since 2004. We are a family-owned business seeking motivated staff with at least 1 year of previous serving experience. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be passionate about providing excellent customer service. As a server, you will be responsible for greeting customers upon arrival, ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience, and providing suggestions for food and drink choices. Knowledge of alcoholic beverages is essential, as you will be expected to up-sell at tables. Additionally, you will be tasked with cleaning tables and preparing spaces for future diners, carrying drinks and food from the kitchen or bar area to the tables, and memorizing the food menu, wine list, and any nightly specials. Fishy Fishy Cafe offers both part-time and full-time positions, making it an excellent opportunity for quick, outgoing individuals looking to join a large and fun team.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers upon arrival at the restaurant
- Providing excellent customer service during their dining experience
- Providing suggestions for food or drink choices to diners
- Knowing all alcoholic beverages and being able to up-sell at tables
- Cleaning tables and preparing spaces for future diners
- Carrying drinks and food from the kitchen or bar area to the tables

Requirements
