About the position

As a Service Account Manager at Meritech, you will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base by building service agreement revenue within both new and existing accounts. This position involves close collaboration with the Customer Success team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention through effective communication and service contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and sustain customer retention and satisfaction through successfully selling and renewing service agreement contracts.
  • Consult with customers concerning upcoming service agreement expiration and secure contract renewals.
  • Contract customers without existing service agreements to explain the benefits of a service plan and to propose a contract.
  • Answer incoming service calls and create service tickets based on customer needs by following ticket creation process and protocols.
  • Provide equipment referrals to Outside Sales Team.
  • Provide CleanTech+ referrals to Account Management Team.
  • Develop and maintain customer visit schedules for Service Technicians based on the customer care needs, technician availability, and other factors.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers, Meritech technicians, and management to ensure clear and accurate information exchange regarding scheduling, changes, and updates.
  • Maintain and determine correct points of customer contact that oversee service and maintenance of Meritech's systems in our CRM.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer outreach and/or customer contract sales preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including basic mathematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in Salesforce or similar is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Experience in customer service or sales roles.
