About the position

The Service Admin role at a Fire Safety Corporation in Houston is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the administration section. The ideal candidate will manage various administrative tasks while supporting the overall mission of protecting life through effective service administration.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the administration section
  • Designing and implementing budget procedures, developing and administering the annual budget and grants
  • Managing the department's purchasing program, including accounts payable processing and reimbursement submissions to the state
  • Developing and maintaining complex record-keeping and reporting systems
  • Composing and keying a variety of correspondence and reports
  • Maintaining calendars of activities and meetings, and taking, transcribing, and distributing minutes for department or division meetings
  • Operating a variety of office equipment including personal computers with related software
  • Monitoring and maintaining the department's website
  • Maintaining and updating content for the fire department on social media
  • Assisting with external communications to partner organizations, community stakeholders, media, and potential clients

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant administrative role
  • Confidence in Contracting, Sale Accounting, Collections, and Billing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
